The black designs are then printed using rust black, developed through a fermentation of iron rust and molasses. Each piece is hand-resisted using the traditional Japanese rice paste resist technique before being over-dyed in our 100% organic honey indigo vat. This item is individually hand-printed and hand-painted using 100% natural dyes, resulting in subtle variations that make each piece truly unique.
