This is what we collect, why, where it lives, who else sees it, and how to get it back. We have kept it short. If anything is unclear, email us and we will explain.
What we collect
Your email when you sign up for the newsletter, an account, or a restock alert. Your cart, saved pieces, and searches when you are signed in. With your consent, basic, anonymous usage data (which pages you view, which links you follow, and how you move through the site). When you buy something, the order details — item, brand, price, shipping address. The brand is the seller and holds the main order record; we keep a copy for our own records.
What we do not collect
Nothing beyond what the site needs to run. No government ID. We do not buy data about you from anyone else, we do not sell your data, and we do not use it to train AI models.
Why we collect it
To run the things you use — your account, saved pieces, restock alerts, and currency. To understand which brands and pieces people like, so our editorial choices are based on something real. To send you to the right brand checkout. And to meet our tax and accounting obligations.
Where your data lives
We use a small set of trusted providers to run the site — for hosting, for analytics, and for the checkout your order goes through. Some of them process data outside your country, under the protections built into their standard terms. We can give you the named list on request.
How long we keep it
- Usage and analytics data — about 2 years.
- Account data — until you delete your account, then a short while in backups.
- Order records — up to 7 years, because tax rules require it.
- If you ask us to delete something — within 30 days, unless we are legally required to keep it.
Who else sees it
The brand you buy from — they run their own checkout and ship your order. Beyond that, only the providers above, who handle it on our behalf and cannot use it for their own purposes — and, only with your marketing consent, Meta, so ads on Facebook and Instagram can be measured against actions on this site.
Your rights, and how to ask
You can ask us for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion, and you can ask us to stop using it for something like analytics. Some places — the EU, UK, California, India, and the UAE — give you extra rights, and we follow those where they apply.
To make a request, email info@new-common.com with what you want and the email tied to your account. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. We reply within 5 business days and aim to sort it out within 30 days; if it will take longer, we tell you why and when.
How to reach us
For anything about your privacy or your data, email info@new-common.com. We reply within 5 business days.
