The BODEMENTS Story

BODEMENTS calls itself India's first vintage store, though the work has moved past curation. Forgotten and preloved Indian textiles are cut and rebuilt into one-of-a-kind contemporary silhouettes — a corset, a jacket, a pair of drape trousers — handcrafted by local artisans from material that already exists. Nothing wasted, everything reimagined. Offcuts and scraps route through partners like Iro Iro and the Craftizen Foundation. The result reads as a dialogue between past and future rather than a costume of either.
